Inside, Beach Retreat is designed for comfort and easy group living, with four bedrooms, four and a half bathrooms, and ensuite bathrooms for every bedroom—ideal for families and friends traveling together. The home features a bright, open main living space for gathering, a fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances and a walk-in pantry, plus modern essentials like central A/C, high-speed WiFi, Smart TVs with Roku in each bedroom, and a full-size washer and dryer. Outdoor living is a highlight here, with multiple porches and balconies, a gas grill for cookouts, and an outdoor shower for rinsing off after the beach. Beach gear is also provided, including chairs, towels, toys, and a wagon to make your beach days easy. Nestled less than a mile from Alys Beach, Beach Retreat invites you to slow down and explore by foot or bike. You’ll have direct access to the Timpoochee Trail, which spans about 18 miles and connects you to the seaside communities along 30A, plus easy access to Alys Beach and Rosemary Beach to the east. Private beach access is just a 1–2 minute walk away, and because this small street is private, the beach stays refreshingly uncrowded no matter what time of year. Neighborhood Info & Private Beach Access: Beach Retreat is located on a small private street with PRIVATE beach access just a 1–2 minute walk from the home, which means no crowds and an easier, more relaxed beach day no matter what time of year. You’ll also have direct access to the Timpoochee Trail, offering roughly 18 miles to run, walk, or bike through the iconic seaside communities along 30A, with easy access to Alys Beach and Rosemary Beach to the east.
Guest Access
Portoro Homes offers convenient self check-in, details provided 2 weeks (or less) prior to arrival by email and text message. • Early check-ins or late check-outs: If the property happens to be ready earlier than the standard 4 pm check-in time on the day of your arrival, in most cases an early arrival option may be available when confirmed with the main office. Late check-outs must be confirmed with main office staff prior to the date of departure.
Getting Around
Inlet Beach is a great starting point for exploring Walton County’s eastern 30A corridor, with easy access to nearby beach towns and plenty of options for biking and driving. Many guests love using the Timpoochee Trail (30A’s bike path) for scenic rides into Rosemary Beach and beyond, while a vehicle is helpful for grocery runs, beach hopping, and day trips across South Walton. Traveling to/around the area - Explore by foot, by bike, or by car: • A car is recommended for exploring beyond the immediate 30A corridor, as rideshares and taxis can be limited and wait times can vary. • Biking is one of the best ways to experience 30A—use the Timpoochee Trail to reach nearby beaches, dining, and shopping areas safely and enjoyably. • Walking works well for short trips and beach access days, but plan to drive for larger grocery runs and farther excursions. • Bike rentals are widely available along 30A if you want extra bikes for your group—helmets are recommended, and the paths can get busy during peak season. All guests are required to read the house manual upon arrival.
