For guests who love to explore, two bikes are available for your use and can be found in the shed—perfect for discovering the neighborhood or enjoying a scenic ride. Nestled on a quiet cul-de-sac with lush landscaping and a raised vegetable garden bed, this inviting home offers privacy and tranquility—just minutes from the shops, restaurants, and trails of New Paltz. Whether you’re seeking adventure or relaxation, this is the perfect Hudson Valley getaway. • Winter Access Notice: The driveway and parking area is plowed in winter. During snowy conditions, a 4WD or AWD vehicle is strongly recommended for reaching the home. If you’re traveling without one, access may be difficult or not possible at times. Guest Access

Portoro Homes offers convenient self check-in. Check-in instructions will be sent by email and text prior to arrival with everything you need to access the home easily and on your schedule. You’ll also receive a digital Guest Guide for the home, packed with helpful tips, house info, and local recommendations to make the most of your stay. • Early check-ins or late check-outs: Standard check-in time is 4:00 p.m. and standard check-out time is 11:00 a.m. If the home is ready earlier on the day of arrival, an early check-in may be available when confirmed with our main office. Late check-outs must be requested and confirmed by our main office prior to departure.

Getting Around

- Winter Access Notice: A 4WD or AWD vehicle is strongly recommended to access the home during the snowy season. Guests without the appropriate vehicle may be unable to reach the property. Portoro cannot be held responsible for access issues or assist if a vehicle becomes stuck. Getting around New Paltz is convenient, with easy access to both town amenities and outdoor adventures. The village is walkable, but a car lets you quickly reach the Shawangunk Ridge, Mohonk Preserve, and scenic routes like Route 299, which winds through farmland and forests toward the mountains. Parking is available in town lots and at trailheads, and traffic is generally light outside of college move-in weekends. Drives out of New Paltz offer stunning views of cliffs, lakes, and wide-open fields, making each outing a pleasure. Wildlife is common in the surrounding countryside, so watch for deer, especially in the early morning or evening. Cell service is good, but offline maps are helpful for exploring remote parks. With your own vehicle, every drive in New Paltz is a gateway to adventure and discovery. The House by Portoro Homes was excellent. It’s in a small quaint neighborhood in the New Paltz mountainous region. We quite enjoyed the view and amenities of this home and it was always very quiet and peaceful. Our host was very responsive and helped us immediately with all of our needs. Would absolutely stay here again!

Absolutely Lovely! The house was beautiful and clean and spacious. It was stocked with all the necessities and very well thought out for the comfort of a guest. No central AC was a bit of a surprise, but the AC unit in the master bedroom was great, especially on the dehumidify setting at night (due to surrounding rain/storms). The weather was too hot to want to use the hot tub or fire pit, but the grill was great and the provided tools were a very nice touch. We had a lot of fun here. Highly recommend and will seriously consider coming back, especially if it’s a little cooler!

This house is pristine! Not even a spec of dust and kitchen is well stocked with supplies for cooking. The yard is large and the pool table is a fun added feature. Summer even went the extra mile to deliver a snow shovel and driveway salt right to the front door for us. And this was, hands-down, the easiest check-out of all time for us. I can’t say enough great things about the area- New Paltz is a gem of a town- it has everything from hiking, restaurants and thrifting to a record store and cat cafe! Wish we stayed longer. Will definitely be back!
