Outside, enjoy deck seating and a grill for easy meals, with postcard-worthy scenery that makes every moment feel like a true escape. When it's time to sleep, you'll find Casper mattresses in each bedroom for cool, comfortable rest and better tomorrows. The home also includes newly renovated bathrooms, a washer and dryer, strong WiFi, smart TVs, and a dedicated remote-work station. In the summer months, portable A/C units are installed for added comfort. Located a short drive from Hunter Mountain, Windham Mountain, Tannersville, and the Hudson River, this cottage is an ideal base for skiing, hiking, and exploring the charming towns of the Catskills, then coming home to warmth, views, and total relaxation. • Please Note: In the Summer months we install portable air conditioners for your comfort. • Winter Access Notice: The driveway and parking area is plowed in winter. During snowy conditions, a 4WD or AWD vehicle is strongly recommended for reaching the home. If you’re traveling without one, access may be difficult or not possible at times. Portoro Homes cannot be held responsible for weather-related access issues or provide assistance if a vehicle becomes stuck.

Portoro Homes offers convenient self check-in. Check-in instructions will be sent by email and text prior to arrival with everything you need to access the home easily and on your schedule. You’ll also receive a digital Guest Guide for the home, packed with helpful tips, house info, and local recommendations to make the most of your stay. • Early check-ins or late check-outs: Standard check-in time is 4:00 p.m. and standard check-out time is 11:00 a.m. If the home is ready earlier on the day of arrival, an early check-in may be available when confirmed with our main office. Late check-outs must be requested and confirmed by our main office prior to departure.

Like others, we struggled with the keypad lock on the door. Portoro was very helpful and prompt in getting us in, however, this seems like a common issue. It was below 0 when we were attempting to enter the home, so the prompt communication was certainly welcome.The home is well appointed and clean and was a perfect location to Hunter Mountain for the race that we were attending. Will certainly stay there again next season if available for Hunter races.

The house is very cozy. We stayed during a storm and felt warm and comfortable the entire time. They even provided flashlights in case the power went out, which we really appreciated. Communication was always clear and responsive. We truly enjoyed the cold days there and would definitely stay again.

We stayed here during Christmas and asked in advance about holiday decorations. The owner/management team was very helpful and even set up a Christmas tree for us, which really made our stay feel festive and special—thank you for that!The house is cozy and comfortable. Unfortunately, we had an issue with the front door being stuck and the back sliding door freezing on the first night. Because it was Christmas Eve, it couldn’t be fixed right away, but thankfully the sliding door worked the next morning. Aside from this inconvenience, everything else was great, and the team was responsive and helpful.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful modern cabin!! We loved the cozy wood stove, the strong shower, the excellent interior design and appliances, and how clean the place was. As other guests have mentioned, we had trouble with our entry code—this wasn’t ideal, but we called them, and they sent us a new code within 5 minutes.As for the area, the house was also a 15 minute drive from the Laurel House Road and Schutt trailheads, which were stunning. We enjoyed going to Fellows coffee shop, walking around the Hunter Vintage Store. Tops Supermarket was nearby. There were great resting driving distance. I loved how peaceful and restorative this place was. I would love to return!!!

Beautiful and cozy home right next to Hunter Mountain! The beautiful fall colors of the Catskills were visible right from our windows. Refurbished and modern kitchen and bathroom. Very comfortable beds and living room. Smart TV was very modern and easy to use. We ended up spending a lot of time in the home because it was so relaxing and comfortable. The host was very responsive in resolving a quick issue with the keypad when we entered (reset code) and a question about the hot water (which was plentiful throughout our stay). Highly recommend this place if you are visiting Hunter! Easy drive to Tannersville/hiking trails too.

10/10 experience!!! Even though it didn’t look like a cabin but felt just like it & a prefect spot to celebrate my 30th birthday!!!! I loved everything about the house. Prefect cool temperature and in every room of the house as a place for you to control the heat! Also love how homey it felt. Any questions I had the owner always responsive with a timely matter (which detail directions). From the living room, kitchen & the bigger room had a view of bits & pieces of the mountains. Deers walking onto the property as a good morning surprise lol! The town itself felt so peaceful, some of the restaurants are a hit & miss, but one restaurant I recommend is Prominence Steakhouse! I highly recommend to go to Main Street it’s 30 ish minutes away from town you’ll love it!!! From a whole cat store to a Hispanic spot called Angel’s! I cannot wait to book again in a few months *hopefully* *Love love love whoever was the interior designer of this house lol*

Quiet location with a short walk to the village main street. Clean and well maintained indoors and outdoors. Pleasant mountain setting We were there during a record breaking heat wave so could have used one more window unit AC. The living room and largest bedroom have window units. The smaller two bedrooms had only box fans which is likely plenty any other time. Host was proactive with checking in before and during the stay.

Had a lovely stay at this home just minutes away from Hunter mountain. Everything was recently updated and well thought out, and the extra half bathroom was super helpful. The home had a well stocked kitchen with nice appliances and pots / pans etc although I will warn that you'll need to know how to cook non stick method on a steel pan. The coffee / tea corner was so cute and had everything you would need. The rooms all had extra blankets and linens in case you got cold and the little touches like food/water bowls for pets and firewood/starter for the fireplace were very nice. The only thing that could have used improvement during our stay was that the hot water capacity was really limited. The host assured me that they would check it out and make sure that the capacity was enough to service a house of this size.
