Getting Around
This stretch of Santa Rosa Beach is a great home base for exploring Walton County’s 30A corridor, with a mix of walkable beach access areas and easy routes to nearby beach towns by bike or car. Many guests love using the Timpoochee Trail (30A’s bike path) for scenic rides, while a vehicle is helpful for grocery runs, beach hopping, and day trips across South Walton. Traveling to/around the area - Explore by foot, by bike, or by car: • A car is recommended for exploring beyond the immediate 30A corridor, as rideshares and taxis can be limited and wait times can vary. • Biking is one of the best ways to experience 30A—use the Timpoochee Trail to reach nearby beaches, dining, and shopping areas safely and enjoyably. • Walking works well in local centers and beach access areas, but plan to drive for larger grocery runs and farther excursions. • Bike rentals are widely available along 30A if you want extra bikes for your group—helmets are recommended, and the paths can get busy during peak season. Airports: • Northwest Florida Beaches International (ECP) [FL] • Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport (VPS) [FL] • Pensacola International Airport (PNS) [FL] Popular Landmarks: • Oyster Lake • Grayton Beach State Park • Seaside, FL • Gulf Place • Eden Gardens State Park • Point Washington State Forest
