Our gut-renovated, upscale, minimal-yet-cozy cabin is just minutes from some of the area’s best hiking trails and trout fishing, and just a short drive from the heart of the famed town of Phoenicia. Spend sunny days by your own secluded backyard creek, using the gorgeous outdoor stone fireplace, entertaining guests, and more! Enjoy luxury furnishings, thoughtful amenities, Smart TV, board games, a fully-stocked kitchen, and more.
Space
You will be greeted by the heart of the home in the bright and inviting open-concept space with beamed ceilings, and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the creek. The kitchen has been expertly-designed to maximize space and allow your group to spend time together cooking and creating. Flow into the living room, where you will cozy up after a long day out in nature to an original oversized stone fireplace that’s impossible to recreate.
Down the hallway are the two bright, light, airy bedrooms, both boasting creek views. The master bedroom offers a private ensuite full bath, and there is a second brand-new full bath accessible to all in the hall. Ready for bed? We feature Casper mattresses so you get cool, comfortable sleep, for better tomorrows.

We offer convenient door codes for self-check-in. Portoro Homes uses convenient keyless entry for self check-in, details provided 2 weeks (or less) prior to arrival by email and text message.
• Early check-ins or late check-outs: If the property happens to be ready earlier than the standard 4 pm check-in time on the day of your arrival, in most cases an early arrival option may be available when confirmed with the main office. Late check-outs must be confirmed with main office staff prior to the date of departure.
Getting Around
Getting around Phoenicia and the central Catskills is a breeze, with Route 28 serving as a main thoroughfare through the mountains. Local roads wind past rivers, forests, and quirky shops, while scenic byways offer easy access to trailheads, tubing spots, and the region’s signature mountain vistas.
Parking is easy in town and at most trailheads, and the relaxed pace of traffic makes for pleasant, stress-free driving. Every drive offers a new view—whether it’s a rushing creek, a mountain peak, or a colorful main street.
Wildlife sightings are common, especially along the Esopus Creek. Cell service can be spotty in the mountains, so download maps in advance. With your own car, you have the freedom to explore Phoenicia’s blend of adventure, arts, and natural beauty.

Please pay close attention to following the house rules. Non compliance could result in sizable fines.
- All guests staying at a Portoro Homes are required to sign (esignature) a rental agreement and complete identity registration.
- Age restrictions apply. Reservation holder must be 25 years of age.
- No Parties or Events. - Quiet Hours observed, 10:00pm - 8:00am.
- Upon arrival, we aim to ensure your safety, proper access to the home, and guest features. Should you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to Portoro Homes directly.
- Known damages incurred during your stay must be reported to the property manager immediately.
- Before check in, we will send you detailed directions to ensure a seamless arrival.
- Check-in time is 4:00 p.m. Check-out time is 11:00 a.m.
- We cannot guarantee early check ins or late checkouts, fee typically applies. When it is possible to check in early or check out late, there will be a fee for anything outside of a one hour window within our standard times. If your need for an early check in or late check out is great, your best option is to book an additional night.
- Some homes have cameras for external monitoring only.
- Some homes have pools and hot tubs. There is no guard around the water features. - Use at your own risk.
- In the State of New York and in Ulster County, all hotel and vacation rental hosts are required to collect hotel tax. We collect these taxes within the booking transaction.
- This is a No Smoking property. Penalty fees for violations will apply and you may be asked to vacate the premises with no refund at the discretion of the Host.

Animals/pets must be disclosed prior to reservation arrival date, maximum of 2 per stay. Only dogs are permitted in “Pet-Friendly” Property listings. Allowed number of dogs will be expressly stated in the listing and a $150.00 fee per animal/pet is required. Animals/pets are not permitted anywhere on the premises unless prior approval is obtained. Any unauthorized animals/pets at the property will result in a $150.00 per day / per animal/pet fee, and may result in your reservation being canceled, and you may be required to vacate from the Property.

A really great stay! The team was responsive to my questions (equipment, safety etc) and got back to me in a timely manner. The house is beautiful with a well stocked kitchen. The stream is steps away. We were able to visit Phoenicia, boiceville, woodstock and more. Important to note that there are no blinds, so rooms get bright as soon as the sun rises. Could do with a couple more chairs for the dining table. Other than that, truly great place to stay

Great house
We enjoyed our relaxing stay at this super cute well designed home. Our son played in the river/creek and fished all weekend. Great spot to read, relax and enjoy the fire in the winter months. Well stocked and nicely renovated. The outside of the home is more worn but overall very good stay. Also enjoyed a few nice restaurants.
