The house was great. Super close to Quechee mountain. Lots of board games and space. It was awesome for my three little kids. The fire was lovely! The property managers were on top of all communication and very helpful. Great stay! Thanks!

February 2026
My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here for a winter getaway (7 of us in total). The house was spacious and clean, with plenty to enjoy in the way of games, puzzles and entertainment. I love the location because it’s tucked away and quiet, but still an easy drive to the main part of Quechee or Woodstock (or even white river junction). If you’re planning on skiing the drive to Killington is very manageable and pretty, maybe 40 min. Wasn’t an issue for us. Check in and check out were a breeze.

This home was great for our group! We came for a little ski weekend and it's *close enough* to Killington. Super cute home with LOTS of space! We didn't even need to use the basement! Definitely pack your spices & coffee if you need them! Overall 5 stars, this place was adorable and very easy to get to!

Great house. Large and comfortable with a beautiful deck that had us sitting out for hours on a lovely fall day. We experienced some hiccups however. The rental agency provided a phone number in the event of problems. No one responded to text or call when recycling from the prior occupant wasn't picked up and a bear got into it, leaving trash all over. Hannah at Portoro was great when we finally connected but a contact person needs to be available in the event of problems. A neighbor was very upset about the trash and told my husband she was thinkiing of calling the police. Though he knew that was nonsense, we could have done without the drama. We definitely recommend the house. Just be sure to have back up numbers for the agency.
