With a car, you have the freedom to visit local farm stands, artist studios, and nearby trailheads at your own pace, all while enjoying the tranquility that defines this part of the Hudson Valley. Traffic is minimal, parking is straightforward, and the drive itself feels like an invitation to slow down and take in the scenery. The area’s scenic routes, like Route 209 and the meandering county roads, reveal a new vista around every bend—whether it’s a historic stone house, a field of wildflowers, or a glimpse of the Shawangunk Ridge rising in the distance. This was an absolutely amazing place! We loved everything about the house and its beautiful surroundings. One of the highlights for our family was the stunning, oversized window overlooking the southeast, where we gathered together to watch breathtaking sunrises—it created such a special and memorable experience. The house offered plenty of space, making it perfect for our large family to share and enjoy comfortably. The retro décor added a unique charm, blending style and nostalgia in a way that made the entire space feel warm and inviting. We truly can’t say enough good things about this incredible retreat. It exceeded our expectations in every way, and we already hope to return someday. Highly recommended!

This was a great place for a relaxing girls weekend. The views are incredible and the photos don’t do it justice. There was plenty of space for 6 people, with multiple dining areas and two areas to sit around and chill. We appreciated the well stocked firewood and definitely took advantage to make some cozy fires! The house is a little on the older side but it is well kept. There was a small issue where the power tripped in the basement and we needed the flip the breaker but it was easy to do and communication with the host was good.
